Nokē Inc, designer and manufacturer of their own line of smart-locks, has partnered up with Wirepas to further develop their communication between the lock and the cloud. The partnership allows companies to view and manage the locks for seamless security and valuable insight.
Nokē has incorporated the Wirepas Mesh into select models of smart locks to allow for battery-operated two-way communication between the locks and the cloud. It allows for the smart locks to switch from point-to-point to two-way communication, eliminating the need for a cellular connection for a user to control the lock and experience the sophisticated features including: remote unlocking and changing keys, alarm indications based on motion sensors, and status reporting.
“Wirepas gave us a tested mesh network, that could be completely battery operated.” – Nate Perry, Director of Software Development at Nokē Inc.
The Wirepas and Nokē solution can be implemented in various industries including utilities, logistics, storage, facilities, education, trucking/shipping, cellular, and more.
“Locks have stayed pretty much the same for a long time. Now we are witnessing digitalization also in this very traditional application area. It is a great fit for Wirepas Mesh because of large scale, high density and the power consumption requirements. We are proud to partner with Noke, one of the pioneers in smart lock systems,” says Teppo Hemiä, CEO at Wirepas.
